  • Dubai reveals the world`s first sustainable real estate city, `The Perfect City`

The Dubai Government on Monday announced plans to create the world’s first property-related city in Dubai, following suit of Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City.

Work on the “Perfect City”, set to begin in early 2015 and be completed by 2021 targets to bring together all real estate-related businesses into one zone.

Dubai’s Perfect City will be 100% sustainable, will include a 500-metere canal and will be featuring 75% green space, according to a statement released by the real estate unit of Dubai Government on Monday.

The City will also provide the Land Department’s customers with facilities that will enable them to do all their property-related transactions in one area. The statement said this initiative represents a “comprehensive system of sustainable real estate solutions.”

The Perfect City will include a headquarters building for the Dubai Land Department, as well as its RERA regulatory arm, and will also feature a real estate university, court, museum, sustainability centre, Emirates Real Estate Solutions and the Real Estate World Centre.

The Real Estate World Centre will contain global real estate companies, real estate development companies and brokerage offices.

The Perfect City initiative seems to follow the same lines as previous technology and media hubs in Dubai, aiming to create a thriving business community serving as a leading destination for global and regional real-estate companies for the development of integrated solutions and sustainability for the sector.
